I am a final-year Mechatronic Systems Engineering student at Simon Fraser University, graduating in December 2026. Through co-op work at FortisBC and PCL, and a General Fusion-sponsored capstone, I have applied my studies to engineering problems in energy, construction, and automation. These experiences have strengthened my interest in designing useful systems and making engineering work more reliable.
I start by understanding the problem and identifying what a successful solution needs to do. From there, I work through design, prototyping, and testing, refining the details as I learn. I value clear documentation, practical decisions, and results that others can understand, verify, and build upon.
I work across mechanical design, electronics, programming, and engineering analysis, connecting these disciplines to develop practical solutions.
Mechanical design: SolidWorks, CAD assemblies, engineering drawings, and prototyping.
Embedded systems: Arduino and ESP platforms, sensors, actuators, and C/C++ programming.
Controls and analysis: MATLAB/Simulink, system modelling, and control systems.
Engineering automation: Python and Excel VBA for processing data, validating information, and reducing repetitive work.
My curiosity extends beyond coursework. I enjoy building computers, exploring home servers, and experimenting with electronics. Away from the workbench, I spend time hiking, playing video games, listening to music, and going to concerts. Guitar and keyboard are interests I would like to develop further—there is always something new to learn.
